Crown Elixir was formulated with my salon partners in mind - we wanted a strong DHT-blocking oil blend that wasn’t just essential oil forward. Something with organic, therapeutic-grade, unrefined cold-pressed oils known for their DHT-blocking properties and actual herbally infused oils straight from Oregon-grown plants themselves.
Its star players are saw palmetto, pumpkin seed, and green tea oils, along with herbally infused rosemary and nettle oils from lush, beautiful farms of the Illinois Valley in Southern Oregon. These provide inhibition of 5-alpha reductase, helping reduce DHT naturally, while invigorating rosemary helps open up the follicles & stimulate circulation.
Added sandalwood helps calm irritation while reducing scalp dryness. Bhringraj, horsetail & plantain help balance the scalp environment through follicle support, toning, nourishment and barrier repair.
The oil itself is a beautiful forest-floor green hue - rich in chlorophyll from the rosemary, nettle, horsetail and plantain. The scent profile is very earthy with rosemary and nettle forward tones.
Together, this blend functions both as a hair growth treatment and a deeply nourishing hair oil mask - adding moisture, softness, shine and helping hair retain vibrancy and color. If you’ve never hair oiled before, you’re in for a treat. It’s such an underutilized grounding ritual of care and self-love - once you start, you may never want to stop.
For Hair Growth - Massage into thinning areas or crown. Leave on for 1-3 hours then wash out with a sudsing shampoo. Use 2× weekly for at least 2 months.
For Dry or Brittle Hair - Apply as a nourishing mask 1–2× monthly. Massage into scalp and through the strands. Can leave on for minutes - 1 hour then wash out with a sudsing shampoo. If you are in a time pinch even just a few minutes before a wash does wonders.
